ISLAMABAD, Sept 21 (ABC): Pakistan Post printed 6.83 million commemorative stamps and 220,000 souvenir sheets during 2024-2026 under its annual commemorative programme covering national heritage, prominent personalities, public awareness and international relations.
According to documents available with Wealth Pakistan, Pakistan Post issued 54 commemorative stamps during the three-year period. These included 13 stamps in 2024, 27 in 2025 and 14 in 2026.
The department printed 2.3 million commemorative stamps in 2024. The volume increased to 3.5 million in 2025 before standing at 1.03 million in 2026. This took the three-year total to 6.83 million stamps.
220,000 souvenir sheets printed
Pakistan Post also issued 19 souvenir sheets during the period. It issued six in 2024, followed by 10 in 2025 and three in 2026.
Printing volumes reached 85,000 souvenir sheets in 2024 and 105,000 in 2025. Another 30,000 were printed in 2026, taking the overall volume to 220,000.
The commemorative programme covered seven thematic categories: national days, eminent personalities, cultural heritage, natural heritage, international relations, social awareness and diplomatic relations.
According to Pakistan Post, the annual programmes aim to strengthen its role as a custodian of national heritage. They also serve as instruments of national integration, public awareness and international postal diplomacy.
2025 records highest activity
The figures show that 2025 recorded the highest level of commemorative activity during the three-year period.
Pakistan Post issued 27 commemorative stamps that year and printed 3.5 million copies, both the highest annual figures during 2024-2026.
The department also issued 10 souvenir sheets in 2025 and printed 105,000 copies, again the highest annual totals during the period.
