ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (ABC): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has processed 73,146 degree-attestation cases covering 139,021 academic documents through its paperless online attestation system since its launch on May 11, 2026.
According to an official document available with Wealth Pakistan, the online system allows applicants to get their degrees attested without visiting HEC offices or sending original documents.
The initiative aims to make the attestation process faster, more convenient and more accessible for graduates across Pakistan.
Under the new mechanism, HEC issues electronic attestation certificates that applicants can download directly from their online dashboards.
The certificates can also be verified through the commission’s official verification portal, allowing employers, educational institutions and other relevant organisations to check the authenticity of attested documents.
The processing of 139,021 academic documents across 73,146 cases reflects the scale of the system’s operations since its introduction.
The service is particularly useful for graduates who require attested academic documents for employment, higher education and other professional or administrative purposes.
Moreover, the paperless system reduces dependence on conventional document-handling procedures by allowing applicants to complete the process online.
The initiative also supports broader efforts to improve public service delivery through digital solutions, simplify administrative procedures and make educational document verification more accessible.
