ISLAMABAD (ABC): Roots Millennium Education Group and Tech Valley, a pioneering tech company, official partner of Google in Education in Pakistan, are proud to announce their collaboration to launch the “Digital Safar” programme, a groundbreaking initiative says a press release.
This joint effort aims to equip 10,000+ learners studying in Grade 5 to Grade 8 with the essential knowledge and skills required to navigate the digital realm safely and innovatively.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place at TMUC H-11/4 in Islamabad and was attended by esteemed representatives from both organizations including Dr. Faisal Mushtaq Founder & CEO Roots Millennium Education Group and Umar Farooq CEO of Tech Valley.
Digital Safar harnesses the power of Google’s flagship programs, Google CS First and Be Internet Awesome, to deliver a comprehensive educational experience encompassing coding and online safety.
Expressing enthusiasm, Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley, remarked, “We are excited to join forces with Roots Millennium Education to introduce the Digital Safar program across its campuses in Pakistan.
Equipping the youth with essential digital skills and promoting responsible online conduct are imperative in today’s digital landscape. This initiative will empower them to become confident and responsible digital citizens.”

The implementation of the Digital Safar program will unfold in three phases. Initially, Tech Valley will conduct training sessions for Master Trainers from all Roots Millennium Education.
Subsequently, these Master Trainers will impart knowledge to computer science teachers, who will then organize awareness sessions and training modules for learners in Grades 5-8 across all Roots Millennium Education Group nationwide.
Looking ahead, Tech Valley and Roots Millennium Education Group are poised to deepen their collaboration by introducing and promoting Google for Education tools and technologies within Roots Millennium Schools.
This initiative aims to equip learners with cutting-edge learning tools, positioning them for success in today’s classrooms and preparing them for the future.
