RAWALPINDI , June 24, 2023: Two Pakistanis embraced martyrdom while one got injured after they came under Indian army’s unprovoked firing in Sattwal Sector from the other side of the Line of Control (LoC), the army’s media wing said on Saturday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “Indian Army, in a display of its usual inhumane approach towards innocent Kashmiris, opened indiscriminate fire onto a group of shepherds in the Sattwal Sector.”

While referring to the joint US-India statement after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with US President Joe Biden, the ISPR added, “Driven by a newfound geo-political patronage, Indian forces have embarked on a plan to take innocent lives to satiate their false narratives and concocted allegations.”

The statement made clear that, “While a strong protest is being launched with the Indian side, Pakistan reserves the right to respond back in manner of its choosing to protect Kashmiri lives in the LoC.”

The military’s media wing also “reminded” the Indian side to uphold Kashmiris’ fundamental human rights, “particularly their inalienable right to their lands”.

Meanwhile in an early incident, Parveen Fatima, a 65-year-old widow from the Pandu sector of the Jhelum valley district of AJK, was brutally killed by the Indian army when she was straying across the LoC to collect some medicinal herbs.
