LAHORE , May 1, 2023: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf got the district administration’s nod for the labour’s day rally, however the leadership have given solemn guarantees for discipline and law and order maintenance.
A notification for permission to hold a rally has been issued by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider. The permission was granted by the district administration after taking an oath from the PTI leaders, the mutually agreed timings of the rally will be from 1 pm to 6 pm.
According to the permission letter, no reception camp will be set up for the rally, and the rally administration will be responsible for the security of the stage, women, and all enclosures. Uninterrupted electricity will be ensured in all relevant areas. PTI also agreed to avoid making speeches against the judiciary and institutions in the rally.
To improve the security of PTI rally, the focal person and relevant authorities will cooperate with each other, and will ensure the uninterrupted flow of traffic through-out the route of rally. The PTI’s leadership will also be responsible for any kind of damage to public property by the participants, and the relevant laws regarding the use of the sound systems should be followed.
The district administration imposed restrictions that no business centres will be closed or damaged due to the rally, participants will not be allowed to bring sticks or such items. There will be no permission to hurt anyone’s sentiments during the rally.
No reception camps will be set up for the rally, and the display of weapons will banned in the rally’s surroundings. Appropriate parking places will be arranged for the participants and no wall-chalking will done on the route of rally neither anyone could be forced to join the rally.
