Ramazan a golden opportunity to quit smoking, addictions: Sardar Yousaf

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf appreciated KBM Care Foundation’s efforts to bring food and healthcare at the doorsteps of those in need.

“I would also say that health is a gift from Allah and people should be mindful of this gift. We should not engage in addiction and bad practices like smoking, which is a major cause of diseases. When a disease befalls someone, it cripples the entire household.

Ramzaan is a golden opportunity for Muslims to quit smoking and other addictions. This is also the message of Islam. We must pure ourselves in this holy month,” reads the message by the minister at the KBM CARE Iftar Dinner and ration distribution ceremony for the madasha students.

Speaking on the occasion, KBM CARE Founder Khalid bin Majeed said that the ration distribution and iftar dinner at the madrassa is a part of our Ramazan ration drive and to reach those who need the most.

He said that KBM Care will continue supporting the madaris across the country and this distribution and iftar is the first step towards our efforts.

KBM CARRE Chairman Azmat Hanif on the occasion said the KBM CARE is present across Pakistan in relief distribution, Health Care and Water & Sanitation.

He that despite limited resources the organization is striving hard to reach the people of the underserved areas and fill the gaps in the provision of services.

He said that KBM Care is committed to serve the people across the country without any discrimination.

He apprised the efforts of the organization in provision of cash assistance to the deserving families for treatment purposes.

Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Jahangir Ahmad Abbasi thanked the KBM Care for the provision of ration for the madaris students and iftar dinner.

He appreciated the efforts of KBM CARE to support the madaris and hoped that this support will continue and will be extended to others madaris also to ease their financial burden.

He assured fullest cooperation to KBM CARE in its welfare activities and stressed the need for close coordination among all the stakeholders to achieve maximum results especially in the areas that are still lagging basic facilities.

The ceremony was attended by renowned ulema and notable of the areas.
