ISLAMABAD, July 18, 2023: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief on Wednesday apologised to woman judge Zeba Chaudhry in the district and sessions court, in response to a charge of threatening the woman magistrate.
The PTI chief apologised while attending the case’s hearing at the court of Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman in Islamabad.
“I started a political party dedicated to the supremacy of justice 27 years ago. I have not shattered a single pot to date,” the PTI chairman asserted.
Last year, the PTI chief had been booked for threatening Islamabad police officers and woman magistrate under Section 7 of anti-Terrorism act (ATA) regarding his statements at the rally.
Sources privy to the matter said that the Margalla police had registered a case under the complaint of magistrate Ali Javed against the deposed premier on charges of hate speech in an attempt to disturb the peace.
According to the FIR, he threatened and terrorised state organs and tried to pressurise the judiciary and the police. During the rally, he threatened the Islamabad IG, a woman magistrate, and the DIG, the FIR added.
