Islamabad , June 13, 2023: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar says economic situation of the country will see a significant improvement in coming months.
Addressing the post-budget conference organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in Islamabad, he said the difficult but inevitable decisions taken by government in the next fiscal year’s budget would help to improve the economy.
The Finance Minister assured to consider recommendations of various sectors to bring improvements in the budget.
He said two committees would be formed to remove flaws in the budget.
Ishaq Dar said Pakistan’s economy was at 24th position in 2017, which has now declined to 47th position due to poor economic policies of previous PTI government.
He said we must ensure fiscal discipline to stabilize our economy.
He also stressed the need to increase economic growth rate and stop further devaluation of rupee, as it leads to increase in inflation and debt burden.
