Four terrorists gunned down following two separate operations in KP, Balochistan

RAWALPINDI, June 08(ABC): Four terrorists were gunned down in two separate operations that the security forces conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Tuesday.

According to the military’s media wing, both operations were conducted on Monday (June 6) after information related to the presence of terrorists in the area was received.

In Balochistan, the security forces had launched an operation in the general area of the Parodh Mountains near Nushki, Balochistan, to arrest the terrorists.

The ISPR said that as the troops started the clearance operations in the area, the terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire on the security forces.

“Two terrorists belonging to Baloch Republican Army, Nadeem and Shahzad Alam, were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire. These terrorists were involved in recent security incidents in Kharan and surroundings besides planting of IED on a security forces convoys,” said the ISPR.

The security forces had also recovered arms and ammunition from the terrorists which were intended to disrupt peace and security in the area.

“Security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” said the ISPR.

Two terrorists gunned down in N Waziristan

Two terrorists were gunned down in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Hassan Khel of North Waziristan District.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces had launched the operation on Monday on the reported presence of terrorists.

“During intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” said the ISPR. It added that the terrorists were actively involved in terror activities against security forces.
