ISLAMABAD, May 17, 2023: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday extended bail of PTI chairman Imran Khan in multiple cases till May 31.

The additional attorney general for Pakistan, the advocate general for Pakistan and the counsel sought time from court to provide details of cases against the PTI chief. The court adjourned the hearing till May 31.

Earlier, PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to get exemption from appearance in the interim bail case. A written plea to the IHC states that as the PDM parties lodged protest outside the Supreme Court, a law and order situation could take place if Imran Khan had joined the hearing.

It is requested that as the PTI chief is consulting various forums for seeking bails on court’s orders, he be exempted from appearing in court.
