ISLAMABAD, May 15, 2023: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) on May 16 (Tuesday).
The meeting, called at 3pm at the PM House under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz, will deliberate the country’s law and order situation amid a prevailing deadlock between the PTI and the PDM-led government.
The participants will be briefed about the country-wide violent protests, especially attacks on security installations, carried out by the PTI after PTI chief Imran Khan’s arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
Earlier, in the wake of the ongoing turmoil in the country, PM Shehbaz had postponed the NSC and called a meeting of the federal cabinet instead.
