Trudeau, Guterres, other world leaders congratulate Muslims on Eidul Fitr

Web Desk, April 21, 2023: Muslims in various countries across the world are celebrating Eidul Fitr today (Friday) to mark the end of the holy month of Ramazan.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye, Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrian, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Sudan, Syria, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and others, the United Kingdom and Europe are among the countries where the festival is being celebrated today.

Several leaders from across the world have extended felicitations to Muslims on Eid.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau extended Eid wishes to Muslims across the world. In his video message, he started with greeting, ‘Assalamu alikum’ to everyone.

“Eid al-Fitr, also known as the festival of breaking the fast, marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. To Muslims across the country and around the world who are celebrating with their family and friends: Eid Mubarak!” tweeted Justin Trudeau.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also extended Eid 2023 wishes.

“My warmest wishes to everyone celebrating #EidalFitr. Each of us can be inspired by this celebrations’ spirit of solidarity, community, compassion and empathy. Eid Mubarak,” he tweeted.
