Web Desk, April 4, 2023: In a latest development, Elon Musk-owned Twitter has replaced its classic blue bird logo with “doge” meme.

Mr Musk confirmed the development in a tweet while sharing a conversation and responding “as promised”. He bought the microblogging site for $44 billion deal last year.

Instead of the blue bird log, the Shiba Inu dog meme, which is also the logo of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, is visible on the web version of the social media platform and it is yet to be replaced on Twitter app.

Musk also shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with a Twitter user before he took over the platform, writing “as promised”.

New agency Bloomberg reported the value of Dogecoin witnessed almost 30% increase after Twitter changed its home page logo to the dog meme.

Elon Musk has been making various changes at the social media giant since he bought the firm. Recently, he announced only verified Twitter accounts would be eligible to vote in polls starting April 15, a move that the social media company’s CEO believes will address advanced AI bot swarms.

Musk also said only verified accounts will be eligible to be in Twitter’s For You recommendations, which displays a stream of tweets from accounts on Twitter.
